Not long at all until the weekend now and I am simply counting down the seconds until kick-off.
Few things rival the countdown to an Old Firm game anyway but when something like the title can be decided as a result of it there’s definitely an added edge.
Last time we beat them, of course, they duly had a bust-up and many lost their rag with Murty – so much so that he might well be off in the summer.
The rumours about who they’ll get next continue, then, and it seems as though the Steven Gerrard rumour is really starting to pick up pace.
Let’s take a look at the reaction to that, then, with many of our fans getting involved:
Steven Gerrard is reportedly in talks to become the new @RangersFC boss. Is this the right move for him, or would he be better off staying at @LFC for a chance of the big job at Anfield?

Rangers are a similar level to a League 2 club so he would probably be better off managing Tranmere Rovers.

So replacing an experienced youth coach with an inexperienced one 😂

Great move for him I’m sure he’ll love to see Celtic lift 10 in a row then join in with a rendition of YNWA

He wouldn’t win league for the next 3 years for sure as the Celts are in for at least 10IAR .. don’t think The Rangers fans would wait that long with one manager not winning a title, hence the current managerial merry go round at Ibrox

The Verdict
The Gers really are an odd bunch and they do seem insistent on taking the most strange of gambles.
Make no mistake, I think Gerrard was an excellent player and one I’d have taken towards the end of his career but he is massively unproven as a manager.
Oh well, that’s their prerogative.
