Jim Spence is well known for his outspoken and honest views.

Many a time Spence has spoken out about the Ibrox club and is famed for telling the world, and losing his job, the truth about Rangers being a new club.

The Ibrox club was wound up in 2012 wiping over a hundred years of history from its memory.

The usual media narrative is that the new club bought the old clubs assets which meant it could carry on as the original club.

Yes I know. Mental.

Well this time the former BBC man took to Twitter to take an outstanding swipe at the Parkhead board for banning away fans from the upcoming home match against Dundee United but also couldn’t resist slapping down the Ibrox club at the same time, “I expect crass behaviour from Ibrox but the Celtic fans deserve better than the folk running their show in the boardroom. No away fans now is a disgrace.”

And it is fair to say he did get a lot of support from the Celtic support.

But there is also misunderstanding as to why away fans can’t be allowed access.

The traditional ‘away end’ is currently being used to seat the disabled supporters due to the current COVID safe zone in the main stand.

And, tough as it is, there are fans that purchase tickets, especially for the Raith Rovers game, not to attend the match, but to give them a better chance of a brief for the semi final.

What can the club do?

No doubt this saga will rumble on until away fans can be accommodated.
