Jota. What a player. What a guy.
Ever since the Celtic fans first witnessed the 22 year old Portuguese winger grace the Parkhead turf, the Hoops supporters have called on the club to make this loan move permanent.
Not only do they see the player, the also see the man.
His humility shown in his post match interview (below) where he spoke of loving life in Scotland has given the fans hope that a permanent deal can be stuck:
And today’s announcement that Jota was named the SPFL Player of the Month for October will only make the Celtic fans even more confident, that as he continues to enjoy his rich vein of form, coupled with regular first team football and a huge support that loves him, Jota will be convinced to stay at Paradise beyond his initial one year loan deal.
Celtic released the news via Twitter and the Hoops supporters only had one thing on their mind. Get the boy signed up.
🔥 Jota has been named #cinchPrem Player of the Month for October following a string of impressive performance for the Hoops! 🏆
Congrats and well-deserved 👏🇵🇹#COYBIG 🍀

Jota’s popularity is no doubt at it’s highest and I don’t there has been a player that has excited the Celtic support as much since Patrick Roberts’ first season at Paradise over six years ago.
All I want to see now is a permanent deal 🍀

And best hairdo too, surely?
Noticed when him and Turnball came off on Saturday night, camera was on them in the stand, and Turnball was furiously fixing his barnet, whilst Jota just sat there, confidence brimming from the contented feeling that a top notch barnet gives you.— Clash City Rocker (@clash_rocker) November 22, 2021
That’s hot, now sign him!

And there are many more replies like this. The message is clear to the board. But will they break their own mould and listen to the Celtic fans?
They certainly hope so.
