Celtic have had an array of talented footballers stroll onto the Parkhead turf over the years.

Players with incredible talent and guile.

Many players also had a look that was iconic.

The auburn-haired Jimmy Johnstone, the dreadlocks of Henrik Larsson and the crew cut look of Scott Brown.

But do we all remember Jorge Cadete?

Of course we do.

The Portuguese international was iconic for many reasons at Celtic.

The first was the fear he created in the halls of the SFA when Jim Farry inexplicably held back his registration which meant that even although he was signed prior to the transfer deadline, he couldn’t make his debut until April which meant that he missed the Scottish Cup semi final that season of 96/97 which was against (shock, horror) Rangers.

Why would the head of the SFA do that now?

Anyway, Cadete had that flowing, bushy style hait that was iconic and reminiscent of the changes that were happening to the club around about that time.

Cadete took to social media and posted this video and he looks completely unrecognisable.

The Portuguese hitman only managed one full season at Celtic. He made 37 appearances for the club, scoring 30 goals gaining cult status with the fans.

He left the following summer after claiming he was owed money from the club [The Scotsman] and was eventually transferred to Celta Vigo.

If you know your history: Martin O’Neill
