After the treble win, Filip Benkovic has again refused to rule out another spell at Celtic next season after a fine campaign with us this year.
The Bhoys sealed a historic third treble on the bounce at the weekend and Benkovic has been a big part in what we have achieved this campaign.
With Dedryck Boyata leaving and his loan up at the end of the season, though, there are changes on the way in defence, though Benkovic has again said he won’t rule out a return.
Quoted by the Herald, he had this to say:
“I wouldn’t rule out coming back to Celtic and you never know where life will take you.”
It’s true, that Brendan Rodgers may well want to keep him at Leicester but if he doesn’t think he is quite ready in the Premier League we have a chance.
He’s a fine young centre-back that will only get better with another season under his belt and hopefully we can make it happen that that is spent with us.
