Celtic have been given a rather promising piece of news concerning Tom Rogic and his fitness by manager Neil Lennon – as quoted by the Scottish Sun.

The Australian ace has been brilliant for the Bhoys during his time at the club but he has had serious fitness issues and that has left us having to get by without him.

Of course, we have done a fine job without him but think perhaps what we could have done with him in the side, more on a European basis than anything.

Anyway, it sounds as though the classy winger is on his way back and is looking sharp, as well as potentially being on the brink of an imminent return to the fold against Hamilton Academical.

Quoted by the Sun, the gaffer revealed:

“I’m hoping to get Tom Rogic back in contention for the squad for the Hamilton game.

“He looks brilliant. He’s in great condition, he’s lost weight and he’s training well.”

Promising stuff, then, and I would love to see Rogic back in the side and among the goals next weekend.

We have to be careful with him, though, so that must be the priority.
