According to the Scotsman, Celtic could have the edge over Manchester City in the race to try and sign Jose Cifuentes this summer transfer window.
The South American player is linked with the Bhoys and City at the moment with it clear that a move from South America to Europe could well be on the cards.
And, according to the report, the Hoops have the advantage over City because of work permit regulations.
Because things in Scotland are different to England in terms of this legislation, Cifuentes will likely be able to get a work permit to come to our country whereas his chances for one to go to England are slimmer.
That could leave us with a real chance of getting him in, then, as we look to bolster our side for the new season that is starting to really poke through on the horizon.
Let’s see, then, if we manage to get him in.
