According to the Daily Record, Nantes defender Nathan Gassama is on a list of players that the Bhoys are looking at this summer as potential defensive recruits.
It’s certainly fair to assume that the Hoops need to bring in new defenders before the end of the summer window.
With the likes of Dedryck Boyata, Filip Benkovic, Jeremy Toljan and Mikael Lustig all leaving it would make sense for us to bring in some new faces for that part of the pitch.
Gassama is a part of the shortlist, then, with him being one of the younger names and possessing plenty of potential.
Indeed he is only 18-years-old and that makes him one for the future – though it appears the Bhoys might be ready to take a punt on him for the now.
Whether or not that works out remains to be seen, of course, but whatever happens, Lennon and the club need to start making signings.
