Celtic will be focusing fully on European engagements this week now with a huge game on the horizon on Thursday night.

The Bhoys have been excellent so far in the league for the most part and in Europe we are looking capable of getting ourselves into the knockout stages.

One man who doesn’t seem set to feature any time soon in any competition, though, is Craig Gordon with him now seeming third choice in the goalkeeper ranks.

Indeed, Fraser Forster has come in and taken over, whilst Scott Bain is going to be determined to win that first-team spot back.

For former ‘keeper Paul Robinson, meanwhile, Gordon will potentially be looking to leave the club now.

Speaking to Football Insider, he said:

“Take Craig Gordon out the team, he doesn’t like the manager now, he’s not going to, so it can be very, very difficult for a third choice goalkeeper to break into the team, given what’s ahead of him.

“He’s got two very, very good, old, experienced goalkeepers so for him to breakthrough you’ll probably need injury or suspension or look elsewhere to get game time.”

Certainly, it is hard to see Gordon getting back into the side any time soon and we’ll just have to watch and wait to see if he decides to push for a move from the club.
