Celtic in talks with midfielder

Celtic are in talks with Inverness Caledonian Thistle midfielder Ryan Christie over a move to Celtic Park.

The 20-year-old has been allowed permission to speak to the Scottish champions after their original offer of £500,000 was improved.

The Hoops are willing to loan the Scotland Under-21 international back to the Highlanders should they complete the deal.

Christie, a Celtic supporter after his father Charlie also played for them, has already scored twice in seven games for Caley this season and helped them to a first-ever Scottish Cup in May.
