Murdo MacLeod says Neil Lennon is now beginning to become a problem for Celtic and that the Celtic boss’s conduct is now being seriously questioned by the fans.

After Lennon’s outburst at yesterday’s press conference there was no one left off the Celtic gaffer’s radar as everyone from Nicola Sturgeon, Andy Walker and Sky Sports copped the flak from the fiery Northern Irishman.

Murdo MacLeod certainly knows the pressure the Hoops gaffer is under as he was Wim Jansen’s No2 as his team was charged with stopping Rangers winning 10 in a row back in 1997.

Speaking to the BBC, Murdo said, “He’s obviously been angry since he arrived back home,”

He wants to have a go at people. For me, that’s not going to help Celtic. When your chief executive puts a statement out and apologises to the supporters [for the Dubai trip] and then for Neil to come back and have a real go like this, I think that’s a problem for Celtic now.

“There’s so many people listening to Neil and saying, ‘This is not the way the Celtic manager should be acting.’

“But the hardest thing for Celtic is getting a new manager who is going to bring success and win every week and avoid the kind of run Celtic have been on since the end of October. “
