But a report from Football Insider claims that sources at the club have told the founder of this publication, Wayne Veysey, they are confident that Liel Abada will be worth over £15m next summer.
Now, as far as I am aware, Abada is happy at Celtic and has no plans to move on and how anyone at the club has come to this valuation is beyond me.
Abada has been in superb form since signing for the Bhoys last summer and has become an integral part of Ange Postecoglou’s plans.
And here’s the thing. Celtic do not need to worry about Abada shining in this year’s World Cup as Israel never made it to the tournament.
All we need to worry about is the youngster continuing to showcase his skills in the Champions League as he has done so far this season and you can bet suitors will come calling.
With four years left on his contract, Celtic hold all the aces and I am sure that when the time comes, Abada will leave for a lot more than anyone at the club has bargained for.
