Celtic linked with imposing arrival

|

According to the Daily Record, Celtic are interested in Huddersfield Town defender Mathias Jorgensen as they continue to look for a new centre-half.

The Bhoys have seen a fair few defenders leave the club of late.

Mikael Lustig, Dedryck Boyata and Filip Benkovic have all moved away and it remains to be seen exactly what our defence is going to look like when the first competitive ball is kicked.

According to this report, though, the Bhoys are considering a move for Jorgensen with him recently relegated with Huddersfield Town from the Premier League.

That should not put us off, though, as he is an experienced player at the top level and he also possesses considerable amounts of strength and power with him towering above many at 1.91m tall.

Certainly, few strikers would relish coming up against him in a physical duel and he might be the sort of player we could build our new-look defence around this summer.

There’s no need to get too excited by this at the moment, though, and so we’ll just have to hang tight.
