According to The World Game and reported in The Daily Record, Daniel Arzani is set to extend his 2-year injury hit loan deal with the Hoops for another season.
The Manchester City youngster rose to prominence in the 2018 World Cup and in August of that year signed for the Bhoys on a 2-year loan under previous manager Brendan Rodgers, however, Arzani, on his debut, suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury to his left knee and has yet to make another first-team appearance.
The 20-year-old has subsequently suffered patella tendinitis to the same knee which has delayed his return with the report claiming a potential target of Boxing Day for him to re-join the match day squad.
Should Celtic extend Arzani's stay?
Yes
No
The news that Arzani was potentially extending his stay was met with a mixed response from Celtic fans with some feeling that the club should look to develop their own players first.
Genuinely amazed we’re apparently trying to extend Arzani’s loan for another 12 months. Just hope it doesn’t mean someone else is off.

Big fan of Celtic looking to extend Arzani loan deal – smart move.

Should call it a day with Arzani. Fully fit Johnston, Shved n Sinclair will struggle to near the team. Don’t see Lennon clearing a place on the bench before Hayes or Morgan either. Wits the point

Highly rated but he’s been training for a while and playing for the reserves so thought he was just out of the picture, if Lennon likes him then there’s another option

I’ll prepare Lawwell’s statement…
“Like a new signing”
Done

A mixed response from Celtic fans but Arzani has another seven months of his deal left to run, Lennon would be best served assessing the Aussie over this period before deciding whether or not to extend his deal.
