As per the Glasgow Evening Times, Mark Hill has been recalled by Celtic only a few games into his loan spell with United States-based outfit Charlotte Independence.
The youngster is mainly a midfielder and is a player that is thought highly of at the club.
Indeed, the loan spell was engineered to get him playing more senior minutes but the Hoops have seen it fit to bring him back early on after impressing across the Atlantic.
Whether this is a sign that the 22-year-old is going to play more for the Hoops in the coming season remains to be seen, though.
The report states it is not yet known what the thinking is behind the move, though it could well be the case that the Bhoys are considering giving him a go at a higher level that where he was.
Celtic might want to see themselves what he’s got or lend him to someone in this country, we’ll see what they are planning soon enough.
