Celtic man discusses potential game changer in Scottish football

|

It’s been a rather tempestuous season in Scotland, even by our game’s standards, and there has been a lot of controversy and debate throughout the campaign.

Refereeing decisions, sectarianism and object-throwing have all caught the headlines this year in this country and it is clear that all three need working on to be improved.

One thing that might help sort the first issue, though, is the introduction of VAR and it is clear that the sooner it is here in the better.

Indeed, that appears to be something Neil Lennon agrees on:

The game is played at such a pace in this country it can be hard for referees and bad decisions get made.

VAR has the potential to change the way we play the game in Scotland, though, and only for the better.

More right calls make for fairer results and that is only going to be a positive once it arrives.
