Celtic man has strong message ahead of fresh European test

|

As quoted by the Scottish Sun, Celtic striker Leigh Griffiths has sent out a determined message as the Bhoys prepare for a new European test later this week.

The Hoops have been good in the league so far this season but we struggled in the Betfred Cup at the weekend and that was surely in part down to the fact we had our stuffing knocked out of us by the Champions League exit.

Even so, we can still play in Europe this season and what stands in our way is Swedish side AIK with them looking to knock us out in the play-offs for the Europa League.

The first leg is on Thursday night, and hopefully we’ll get a good result against them to set us up nicely in the tie.

Certainly, Griff is looking forward to the game by the sounds of things and has warned critics to write us off at their peril.

He said:

“We’ve been written off before. Last year we were eliminated from the Champions League by AEK Athens and we came back to win the Treble.

“So people shouldn’t be writing us off this time either.”

Let’s get at them from the off.
