Celtic will be itching to get back to playing action sooner rather than later this season with them heading into the international break in high spirits after the win over Rangers at Ibrox.

Certainly, it was a statement of a win and now the Hoops will be eager to put their foot down and pull away from the pack in the coming weeks, starting with Hamilton next weekend.

One man who seems unlikely to be involved in any real action this season a lot of the time, though, is youngster Jeremie Frimpong.

The player signed towards the end of the transfer window from Manchester City but he has not been selected into our Europa League squad for the group stages.

And, indeed, as Celtic blog 67 Hail Hail reports, it’s likely that he will largely feature for the academy side this season instead of the first team.

That is perhaps unsurprising as we get to grips with the player, too.
