According to SDNA in Greece, Panathinaikos are looking into the loan signing of Lewis Morgan this summer in what would be a rather intriguing switch.
Morgan has already been out on loan from the club in this calendar year.
He spent time at Sunderland for the second half of last season with him playing a fair amount and also featuring in the League One play-off final against Charlton – a game they eventually lost.
Many of us have high hopes for the player and want to see him become a mainstay in the side but, at the moment, it could be argued he’s just a little short of where we’d need him to be.
Logic dictates, then, that a new exit for him and another loan might be ideal and the Greek outfit would provide him with a very different experience indeed.
He’s a good player with plenty to offer, and this could well be a deal that gives him extra strings to his bow – if it happens.
