Celtic Head of Recruitment Lee Congerton looks set to exit the club but it seems unlikely he’ll be heading to Leicester, with Sky Sports reporting that Anderlecht are leading the chase to land him.

The broadcaster reckon that not only are the ambitious Belgians keen on him, but also Major League Soccer clubs, with Hamburg another option in his pocket.

Congerton seems destined to leave Glasgow after close colleague Brendan Rodgers left the club dramatically last week.

Some had speculated he might follow the Leicester boss to the Foxes, but Rodgers poured cold water on that idea earlier today, pointing out that Eduardo Macia is currently is currently performing a similar role at the English Premier League club.

Fans won’t be too disappointed with the departure of Congerton, with many feeling he’s been a key reason that Celtic have failed to recruit successfully over the last few transfer windows.

Time will tell whether his exit will see our fortunes improve in the transfer market.
