As the “will he won’t he” saga continues regarding Celtic manager, Neil Lennon, either walking from the club or being removed from his position continues, a shock new contender has come to the fore for the position as the bookies report that the current Assistant Manager, John Kennedy, has become the joint favourite with punters to succeed Lennon in the summer if the Irishman is relieved of his duties.

Kennedy has been installed at 2/1 alongside Rafa Benetiz in news that will not at all be popular amongst the Celtic support as the Parkhead faithful are looking for a complete regime change at Paradise.

Previous favourite, Eddie Howe, has now dropped to 5/1 and Frank Lampard is now sitting at 6/1 just behind Howe.

The odds on Benitez remain strong despite suggested reports from Italy that the Spaniard is likely to take over at Napoli after suggestions an agreement in principle has been reached by the Italian Serie A club and Benitez.

After the incredible news that Andre Villas Boas has resigned as manager of Marseille after the club apparently signed Celtic’s Olivier Ntcham without his consent, the Portuguesa national has been installed as a 20/1 outsider to take over the Parkhead hotseat in the summer.

On who will be the next Celtic manager you also have Arsene Wenger (33/1), Paolo Di Canio (50/1), Roberto Martinez (66/1) and Celtic’s very own Scott Brown (66/1)
