Celtic’s postponed Scottish Premiership fixture against Motherwell has been rescheduled to Wednesday December 19th, as reported by The Daily Record.

The two sides were due to meet on October 28th but obviously that will now not go ahead due to the Hoops’ participation in the Scottish League Cup semi-final against Hearts.

The match will now take place at Celtic Park in December, on the same night that Rangers head to Easter Road to play Neil Lennon’s Hibernian.

The fixture will be sandwiched by a trip of our own away to Hibs the weekend prior and a home match against Dundee three days later on Saturday 22nd December.

Celtic haven’t been beaten by the Steelmen since 2015, most recently winning 2-0 in last season’s Scottish Cup Final.

Our only home match against them last season ended up a 5-1 win for the Scottish champions thanks to an Odsonne Edouard hat-trick and a James Forrest double.

Here’s hoping for a similar result in December.
