Celtic are closing in on finalising deals with striker Juan Agudelo and defender Juwon Oshinawa, according to reports.

Discussions are already at an advanced stage with MLS outfit Chivas USA for American striker Agudelo, while the Hoops are also targeting Nigerian defender Oshinawa from Israeli side FC Ashdod.

Colombian-born Agudelo, 20, has recently been on trial at West Ham United but Celtic are considered favourites to secure his services. He impressed manager Neil Lennon during a recent trail spell at Parkhead and a deal may be completed in the next few days.

Meanwhile, Celtic had representation watching Oshinawa, 22, briefly appearing for Nigeria in a friendly match against Cape Verde Islands in Portugal earlier this week. However, the Scottish champions are keen to see more of him before going ahead with a possible £350,000 deal.
