Scott Bain is a player in high demand, according to the Scottish Sun. The keeper has been on loan with us from Dundee, but his deal at Dens Park expires in the summer.

Our manager is believed to be very keen to keep the 26 year old on board following his spell at the club, but it looks as though four other teams will look to offer the stopper a contract.

Hibs have already confirmed their interest with Neil Lennon revealing they would like to sign the player, while their city rivals Hearts have also been pursuing him over the past few months.

However, it now seems that we`ll also have to fight off interest from England. Championship strugglers Birmingham City have now reportedly made it known they want to sign the goalkeeper, as well as Bristol City who are keeping tabs on the former Aberdeen player.

Out of the two, the Robins would be a bigger threat to us in our battle to keep Bain at the club. The Blues have recently sacked their second manager of the season and are in the relegation places. They could be in League One next season.

Bristol meanwhile sit eighth in the table and are looking to make a late run to seal a play-off place. With an outside chance of Premier League football on offer, they would present an attractive proposition if they do make a contract proposal to the keeper.
