As quoted by Goal.com, Mark Schwarzer has suggested that the loan move that Daniel Arzani has made to join Celtic has not yet really paid off.

The Hoops have got themselves to the top of the domestic tree for the next set of games between international breaks and they will be looking forward to getting back to action this weekend.

One man that is unlikely to feature, though, is Arzani with him struggling with injury for much of his time with us.

And, for former goalkeeper and fellow Australian Mark Schwarzer, the loan deal has not yet worked out well enough for it to be considered worthwhile.

He had this to say:

“[Daniel] had a phenomenal breakthrough season in the A-League.

“He didn’t play enough games over 90 minutes, which is something he needs to build on.

“The Celtic move is one which I am not sure is the best move for him just yet.”

An interesting take from Schwarzer and, to be fair, he has a point in the sense that it’s not been overly productive but that is thanks to injury.

The actual move to our club, though, made sense and I don’t think that can be doubted.
