Scott Allan has certainly performed well since he made his return to Hibs on loan in January. Under Brendan, the 26 year old has barely got a look in, and he is now on his third loan spell since the Northern Irishman arrived as manager in 2016.

Alan Stubbs believes that the playmaker should not return to Celtic Park. He thinks that the player has found a club where he can excel at, and money shouldn’t be a factor. He told the Daily Record:

‘Sometimes players find a club that is the right fit and things just seem to click. Scott seems to have found that at Hibs. He has found a football home at Easter Road. Scott now has to weigh up what is more important to him.’

‘Moving to the big club where you are not necessarily going to play or finding a home where you get paid well and play every week.Is an extra £2000-£3000 a week worth much more than the happiness and comfort of being in a place where you are enjoying your football?’

On this one, I think Stubbs is right. The midfielder won`t get a chance in the first team with us, and if we can get a decent fee from Hibs then we should definitely allow him to leave in the summer.

We paid £400k for the player in 2015, but I don`t think we should let him go cheaply. Since making the switch back to Easter Road, the player`s performances have been excellent, with one goal and three assists in just five appearances. If he keeps that level up, we can demand a much higher asking price from Hibs, or if they can`t afford him, from other interested clubs.
