Celtic youngster Karamoko Dembele will continue to play with England’s youth sides next season, in what could be a potential blow to Scotland.

The talented prospect has played for the underage teams of both nations having been born in England but raised north of the border.

Now he appears to have committed himself to the England set-up for the foreseeable future, taking to Instagram to share his excitement about playing with his English teammates next term.

It’s a move that may upset some Scotland supporters given his massive potential for club and country, but really, this would appear to be the best decision for his development and ultimately his Celtic career too.

The English set-up will see him play alongside more talented players and with better coaches than he ever would with the Scottish FA and that’s what it’s all about at his age group.

Yet to make his senior Celtic debut but ripping it up for the reserves side, he’s signed up to the Hoops until 2021 and it seems to be just a matter of time until he makes his first-team bow.
