According to the Evening Times, Celtic are ready to break the transfer record paid for the club by signing Odsonne Edouard and it could happen as early as this week.

French Eddy, as he is more affectionately known among our fan-base, was superb for us last season with plenty of explosive performances and goals coming in the final third.

Certainly, he was a more than welcome addition to the squad and it looks as though the Bhoys are ready to go all in for him and break the bank to get in him in on a permanent basis.

For sure, there’s been no inclination that PSG really want to keep him and I’d imagine the striker wants to sign for us permanently so this is one that could be wrapped up before long.

The Verdict

An attack that is already by the far the best in the league is about to get even better.

This summer, for me, is about making us stronger for Europe and with Edouard coming in potentially, I think we will be helping that cause along.
