With talks continuing on a deal that could see Lewis Morgan make the switch out to MLS side Inter Miami this month and on the back of the departure of Scott Sinclair to Preston North End, it’s been claimed that Celtic manager Neil Lennon has identified Tottenham Hotspur youngster Jack Clarke as the ideal loan replacement for the second half of the 2019/20 campaign.

The 19-year-old winger was incredibly highly rated as he came through Leeds United’s Academy setup and the season of 2018/19 was his breakthrough year where he made 25 appearances all in, returning two goals – but he did only make four starts.

With Manchester City sniffing around him, Spurs made the move and picked him up for a reported £8.5million and loaned him back to his former club, but in the first half of the year he only made three appearances, so they brought him back this month with a view to sending him elsewhere.

Football Insider have claimed this weekend that we have now thrown our hat into the ring and registered our interest and we are pretty confident of getting a deal done given the Championship sides linked with him.

We’ll have to see if anything comes of this, but he could be the ideal stop gap until the summer.
