Celtic reportedly set sights on 27-y/o signing

General view of Celtic Park

Celtic will be looking to hopefully add some more players to the side before the end of the transfer window with the squad still needing work.

I am confident that Neil Lennon and co. will bring in the right players to get the squad up to scratch but at the moment it is short of where it needs to be.

According to the Scotsman, then, we are looking to address that with us looking at full-back Adam Matthews.

The defender’s name will be familiar to pretty much all of us as he was at the club in the earlier part of this decade – playing in the Champions League for the Bhoys against the likes of Barcelona.

He is without a club as things stand after being let go by Sunderland earlier this summer after his contract came to an end.

He could be a decent signing to bring in, then, with him already knowing the club but it remains to be seen if Lennon will make a firm offer.
