Celtic Reportedly Strike Agreement In Principle For Second January Target

|

It’s being reported this evening that Celtic have now struck an ‘agreement in principle’ for Ismaila Soro from Israeli side Bnei Yehuda Tel Aviv.

Celtic’s chase of the Ivorian midfielder has been ongoing for a bit, but Sky Sports claimed a short time ago that the deal had now been provisionally agreed and it was expected the 21-year-old would shortly put pen to paper on a four and a half year deal at Parkhead.

Although the youngster doesn’t have a great deal of game time according to his Wiki page, he is very much one for the future and does have limited Europa League experience from the 2019/20 campaign.

Sky claim that we’ve agreed a fee of around £2million for him and they expect him to be in Scotland on Friday to undergo his medical and put the finer touches on his new contract.

He would become manager Neil Lennon’s second signing of the window so far following on from Patryk Klimala who previously penned his own four and a half year deal.
