As per the back page of yesterday’s printed Mail on Sunday, Celtic are apparently keen on signing Arsenal full-back Carl Jenkinson this summer.
The 27-year-old has been at the Gunners for some time but he has hardly featured for them in the last few years and has often been out on loan.
He’s played for the likes of Birmingham City whilst contracted to the Emirates outfit and it looks as though another loan deal could be on the way for him this window.
Indeed, the report suggests that a move for George Baldock is now unlikely and Jenkinson is seen as an alternative.
For sure, he’s got similar powerful running traits to Baldock down that right-hand side but I would personally worry about his injury record as that has been sketchy at times.
And, to be honest, I would rather we had a more permanent solution to the right-back area than another loan deal.
