Celtic will be looking to add further to their side this summer before the end of the window and they have until the start of September to do so.
It’s been an okay market at best and Neil Lennon and the recruitment team need to add some new faces before the window shuts for business.
Who that involves remains to be seen, then, but it looks as though George Baldock will now not be joining our club from Sheffield United any time soon.
The energetic right-wing-back has signed a new deal with the Blades this week to keep him at the club until 2022 with this coming weeks after the Daily Mail reported that we were interested in signing him.
Certainly, we have needed right-sided defenders this summer and Hatem Abd Elhamed looks a decent buy but Baldock would have been a fine arrival too.
We won’t be getting him any time soon by the looks of things, though.
