Celtic set to lose yet another star

|

On loan Celtic defender, Jack Hendry, looks set to be the next player out the door as KV Oostende take steps to make the loan move permanent in the summer.

Hendry has been loving life in Belgium as has found a new lease of life under current boss, Alexander Blessin.

With the Scottish International defender surplus to requirements at Celtic Park, Oostende’s Sporting Director, Gauthier Ganayer, has revealed they are planning to make an offer to keep the big defender in Belgium beyond the summer. Speaking to the media, Ganayer said, “We have a loan with a purchase option.

“If we take that option and we can convince him, he will stay with us longer. Then we have to see what we can do for each other.

“In any case, Jack feels good about himself here.

“Given his excellent performances, I hope that we can convince him that KVO is the step for him to the national team and to a further beautiful football future.”

Hendry was signed by Brendan Rodgers from Dundee for £1.5m back in 2018 but never really got his career going in Paradise. Celtic are looking for €1.75m for Hendry but here at Vital Celtic, we think the 25 year old should be given another chance now that he has found the confidence and consistency that made Rodgers shell out serious money for him.
