Celtic skipper Scott Brown scored Scotland’s winner for the second successive game in an excellent 1-0 friendly victory against Poland in Warsaw.

The 28-year-old fired past Wojciech Szczesny from around twenty-yards with thirteen minutes remaining after club colleague Charlie Mulgrew’s header had been cleared.

Visiting goalkeeper Davis Marshall had already denied Ludovic Obraniak and Arkadiusz Milik during the opening forty-five minutes. Kamil Glik later headed another chance wide.

Brown had continued with the armband after Darren Fletcher was named amongst the substitute by manager Gordon Strachan, whose side again contest with Poland in their forthcoming European Championship qualifying campaign.
