There’s been a bit of speculation about Tom Rogic of late but, for now, he remains our player and it’s clear that he’s still more than committed to the cause.

For me, he plays in a role where we are perhaps strongest as a squad.

With the likes of Scott Sinclair, Callum McGregor, Stuart Armstrong, Patrick Roberts and James Forrest all capable of challenging him, you’ve got to be good to nail a place down.

Even so, we’ve seen this year that the Australian is still more than up for the battle and, when he produces the goods, it’s often spectacular.

He’s willing to do the hard-yards as well, though, and that’s been underlined by recent comments he’s made about what it means to play for our club.

The Verdict

He’s a player who always gives his all and one I wouldn’t want to lose unless it was for a handsome fee.

He might come from the other side of the world but he more than knows what we’re all about and you can never overlook that.
