You love to see it. Or do you?

As Scotland gear up to face Armenia, all eyes were on the starting line up as Vital Celtic wrote today that Mark Guidi predicted that maybe, just maybe, Callum McGregor could be in for a rest this evening.

The journalist said at the time, “I just think there might be a big team selection with one eye on Saturday.

“He’s going to Dublin which is going to be a lot more difficult than Hampden, so that’s just my my feeling on it.

“I just think a bit of freshness in that engine room.

“I’m not saying that John McGinn or Callum McGregor are being dropped, I don’t mean it like that at all, but just that freshness with one eye on Saturday.”

But it wasn’t to be as McGregor starts tonight in the Nations League qualifier.

But not only that, Anthony Ralston makes his first, and long overdue, start for The Dark Blues as The Tartan Army hope to see a victory at Hampden today against the minnows of Armenia.

Ralston has been in fine form for the Hoops this season and many fans argued over why he was being overlooked in favour of Nathan Patterson when the Everton defender was lacking serious game time.

Ralston has his chance now. Let’s show them what you can do Tony Bhoy!
