Opinion: Celtic starting to finally eye the sort of proven players we need for 8-in-a-row

|

The action returns to the pitch this weekend and it is time for Celtic to put their foot down both in the cup and in the league.

A treble-treble is on the cards but I think for many of us winning the league would be the priority than getting the cup – though getting both would be nice.

Certainly, we want to get to 10 in a row but 8 has to be next on our agenda and it seems as though the Bhoys are finally considering players that will get us there.

Indeed, according to the Glasgow Evening Times, we’re looking at Scott McTominay and a potential loan signing for him.

And, that said, he is the sort of top-level performer that would have a real impact.

Whilst Rangers are signing Premier League hasbeens, we’re looking at a genuine talent who could play at the very highest level for time to come.

If he joins, he’d have a huge impact on our midfield and, for sure, help send us to number 8.
