Celtic earned themselves what could be a very valuable point last night in the Europa League as we drew 1-1 with Rennes at the French side’s ground.
Certainly, it was going to prove a tough test and we didn’t help ourselves in the penalty we gave away after actually starting the first half the better of the two teams.
Even so, we can be pleased with the overall performance and to get a point from an away game like that is something we can be really proud of.
Something to keep spirits high, too, is the report from Football Insider that claims we’re looking to get a contract sorted for Kris Ajer.
According to them, preliminary talks are underway to try and get a new contract sorted for the defender and that is something we all want to see happen.
He’s a good young defender and getting him on a new deal would be a feather in our cap.
