Brendan Rodgers has named his starting eleven for tonight’s UEFA Europa League clash away to RB Salzburg.

It’s undoubtedly a difficult fixture for the Scottish champions, facing a side who enjoyed a lengthy run to the semi-finals of the competition last season, beat RB Leipzig on matchday one and have won every single of their league matches so far this term.

As announced by UEFA, tonight’s match squad is as follows:

Starting XI – Craig Gordon, Mikael Lustig, Dedryck Boyata, Jack Hendry, Kieran Tierney, Olivier Ntcham, Youssouf Mulumbu, James Forrest, Callum McGregor, Odsonne Edouard, Leigh Griffiths.

Substitutes – Scott Bain, Emilio Izaguirre, Jozo Simunovic, Scott Sinclair, Cristian Gamboa, Lewis Morgan, Ryan Christie.

With big players like Tom Rogic, Kristoffer Ajer and Filip Benkovic unavailable for the trip, Rodgers has still been able to name a strong starting side in Austria.

Captain Scott Brown has however failed a late fitness battle to make tonight’s line-up, with left-back Kieran Tierney taking the armband for the tie.

The Hoops come into the match having won their last two successive matches against Aberdeen and St Johnstone and are looking to build upon the three points they picked up at home to Rosenborg in the first Europa League group match.

Can Celtic overcome the odds and pick up a positive result?
