Celtic tipped to cash in on key ace this summer

|

Celtic are preparing to sell Kieran Tierney this summer transfer window, at least that is the view of manager turned pundit Owen Coyle.

The Hoops have seen KT linked with a move away a lot in this market but up until now there has been no movement and he remains a Bhoy.

However, with Neil Lennon quoted by the Herald that he does not want to unsettle the player, Coyle has suggested that it could be a sign that the club is readying themselves to let the defender go.

He said on BBC Radio Five Live:

“I think that’s how it sounded to me [that Lennon is preparing the groundwork to sell Tierney] that if the right offer comes in, they have probably sat down with Kieran. I don’t know whether he has stated now’s the time for a new challenge because he’s a Celtic boy through and through. He loves the club.”

Whether or not Coyle is right remains to be seen.

I am sure that the Hoops do have a plan if Tierney does leave the club but, at the same time, there is a good case to suggest that the club is going to try and stand firm for as long as possible to try and keep him.

It’s going to be an interesting few weeks for sure.
