It looks like we could be tracking Queens Park Rangers attacking midfielder Ryan Manning.

The Irish Independent are reporting that the 21 year old is highly rated by the club, and that Brendan Rodgers is keen on snapping up the player before the start of next season’s Champions League qualifiers.

The Irish Under 21 international has yet to really establish himself in the English Championship since he moved from hometown club Galway in 2015.

He was initially part of QPR’s under 23 side, but he was given his league debut against Wolves in December 2016. Since then, he has made 36 appearances in all competitions for the club.

This season, he has played 16 times under manager Ian Holloway, mostly as an attacking midfielder in the centre of the pitch. As he is left footed, he has also been employed on the left hand side of midfield where he has been playing most recently.

He started QPR’s last league game in the 2-1 defeat to Preston North End on Saturday, providing the assist from a free kick for Matt Smith to score the opening goal of the match.
