As per Alan Nixon of the Sun on Twitter, Celtic have apparently missed their chance to sign Jose Cifuentes this summer window now with him set to sign for FC Porto.
The player is highly-rated and was linked with us for a lot of this summer but the journalist has revealed that the Hoops are not going to get him now.
In many ways, this largely sums up our transfer window up until now as we could have made several more signings than we have to this point.
Clearly, we’re still a club that has time to draw in top players in the coming days but Cifuentes would have been a very good signing in principle.
You only have to look at his potential and the fact that a top club like Porto is getting him in to see that he is a player that is rated highly on the continent.
