According to the Daily Record, the Bhoys will receive £800,000 from FIFA for having four players featuring at this summer’s World Cup in Russia.

If those at the tournament get far with their nations, they might not be around for the start of our new season which isn’t really that long away thanks to the qualification stages of the Champions League.

With that said, then, the Bhoys might use the money to invest in new players or we might decide to use it elsewhere with Tom Rogic, Dedryck Boyata, Cristian Gamboa and Mikael Lustig all away.

The Verdict

This would be a nice windfall for us and may help us sign a new player or improve things away from the pitch.

With the game in this country nowhere near as financially strong as it is in England, it’s certainly a more than welcome bonus to be given.

Now let’s hope the Bhoys all return fit and firing.
