Celtic told what they need to do to close in on completing transfer deal

According to the Scottish Sun, if Celtic want to sign Romaine Sawyers from Brentford it will cost the Bhoys £2.5m this summer.

The report has already revealed how the midfielder saw a bid come in for him from the Hoops but that was rejected and the Bees have now outlined what they want for him before selling him.

The midfielder is a central midfielder and likes to play the ball forward, with him quick to move around the pitch.

Indeed, in the Championship last season, he had a good year and I have a feeling he’d be a good signing for the Bhoys – even for £2.5 million.

Certainly, there’s surely a case to suggest that the Bhoys can raise their bid to that offer and then get the wheels on this deal moving – though there are of course no guarantees.

Neil Lennon will surely want to add more regardless before the window shuts, though.
