Celtic transfer update should offer hope despite fairly frustrating window so far

|

As quoted by the club’s official channel, Celtic TV, manager Neil Lennon has discussed the work that is being undertaken to try and get some signings through the door this summer.

It’s not been the best window for the Bhoys so far.

The Hoops had looked set to sign David Turnbull but that looks dead in the water now and other players have left the club such as Mikael Lustig and Dedryck Boyata.

You might be able to forgive some of our fans for worrying a little bit, then, but Lennon has delivered a message that suggests things will start moving soon and that plenty of work is being done to that end.

He said:

“We are looking to make some additions and it will be important to integrate them in as quickly as possible.

“There is a huge amount of work going in and we hope we will get some positive news soon.”

Good words, but just words at that.

Lennon can hardly come out and say we’re doing nothing but until a flurry of players arrive there will be remaining concern.

The Bhoys should have enough to get some good signings sorted, you’d like to think, and hopefully soon.
