Some good news after a bad weekend is required this Easter Monday isn’t it?

If being top of the league, six points ahead with five games to go and having a trophy in the cabinet already isn’t good news enough, then the fans will enjoy this piece.

As Celtic’s Tom Rogic enters the final year of his contract after the summer, there hasn’t been much in the way of communication if the Australian international is looking to extend his stay in Glasgow.

Rogic is now entering testimonial territory as the classy midfielder enters his ninth year with the Hoops.

A quite remarkable achievement for the 29 year old.

With six league titles, five Scottish Cups and five league cups to his name, his trophy haul is up there with some of the top players in clubs history.

And he is being tipped to extend his stay beyond 2023 by transfer expert Pete O’Rourke.

Speaking to GIVEMESPORT, O’Rourke claims, I’m sure, behind the scenes, Celtic’s powerbrokers will be looking at Rogic’s contract again.

“He’s out of contract in 2023, so he’s not got that long left on his current deal.”

Just entering his peak years, Rogic still has plenty left to offer the Hoops and extending the contract makes a lot of sense for Ange as he has been one of Celtic’s top performers this season.

Hopefully the lure of Champions League football will make Rogic realise he is where he needs to be at and goes on to finish his career in Paradise.
