Chances of Celtic signing 22-year-old shot to bits

|

Celtic will surely want to add more players this summer than they already have and it’s going to be interesting to see who actually signs.

Neil Lennon will want to put his own stamp on the squad and he even did so once he came in after Brendan Rodgers.

Indeed, one change saw him take Oliver Burke out of the side considerably and, it appears, that did not go down well with West Brom at all.

As quoted by the Express and Star, the Baggies’ Luke Dowling has issued a pretty scathing set of comments about our current manager and Burke’s situation towards the end of last season.

He said:

“Once Brendan left to go to Leicester the treatment he got from the manager that’s in place now is something we don’t expect for one of our players. He won’t be going anywhere near Celtic.”

It seems, then, that Dowling has shot any chances of Celtic signing Burke out of the sky for next season and indeed until Lennon has left.

A shame as I liked him, but what’s the point in having him if Lennon does not rate him.
