I try and not write about pundits and their views on Celtic. Whether it’s Chris Sutton, Kris Boyd or even Charlie Nicholas. Most of the time I never agree with them and find myself ranting at the screen at their latest articles. So imagine my horror when today, I find myself agreeing with Charlie Nicholas latest column reported in todays newspaper.

Charlie has written today that the last five weeks for Celtic have been a total write off and that many players are being played out of their natural position. And he’s right.

Celtic have won only two games in their last eight fixtures. Included in that run is a 4-1 home drubbing at the hands of a Sparta Prague second (or third?) string, a 2-0 home defeat to Rangers in the Glasgow Derby and a 3-1 home defeat to AC Milan.

We have seen some team selections that have baffled the fans. Most notably the decision to start Edouard on the bench after his sparkling form for France u21. Playing Frimpong as a right back when he’s clearly not comfortable in that role or able to defend. Persisting with N’tcham when he has been posted missing since his last minute goal against Lazio last season when Scotland’s Young Player of the Year, David Turnbull, can’t seem to get a sniff of a start.

Drastic changes need to be made by Lennon and he certainly does need to find a system that will get the best out of his players for two reasons. The first reason is we all want to see Celtic get this season back on track and start putting some real pressure on our Glasgow rivals and the main reason? I can’t face agreeing with Charlie Nicholas again!
