Former Celtic forward Chris Sutton has offered his take on Rangers and their decision to appoint Steven Gerrard.

The Ibrox side have struggled to keep this one quiet and we’ve had to put up with their fans giving it large about his potential arrival.

He’s in now, then, and the real work will begin for him because I can’t see it working out in all honesty.

Certainly, they’re kidding themselves if it fixes things overnight and, actually, it might just see us get ever stronger as we look to underline our dominance and see off another tenure at Ibrox.

On a side-note, Chris is right that it is good for the game in the country as it will add some extra interest.

Once we’ve battered them again and put them in their place, though, I’d expect their fans to start turning on him too.
